Maintenance scheduling is the process of determining when planned maintenance work should be done, and by whom. It involves working with other departments (such as production or operations) to coordinate the availability of assets to maintenance; identifying who is best qualified to carry out the work; coordinating employee availability with asset availability; balancing employee workloads; and making decisions about how to complete maintenance work in the most efficient manner.
