Computer-Aided Design (CAD), or Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD), is the use of computer software to digitally create 2-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) models or real-world objects. CAD is a common feature of Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM) software, allowing organizations to visualize their facilities for the purposes of layout and space planning, occupation planning, wayfinding, maintenance management, and other aspects of management.
